Do not sell or share my personal information

We never sell your personal information for money. We share your email address with an advertiser only when you click that advertiser's offer and say yes, and you can take that back at any time. We use Google Ads, which you can opt out of.

If you use TeamCalendar for free

Free use needs no account. Picking teams and subscribing to a calendar asks for no name, no email address and no phone number, so we hold none of those for you.

Every visitor, free or paid, does get analytics and advertising cookies: Google Analytics measures traffic, and Google Ads measures our ads and can show you personalized ads. Our cookie policy lists them and how to block them.

If you buy a paid plan

Payments are handled by Stripe. You enter your card details, name, email address and mobile number on Stripe's own checkout page — your phone number is collected by Stripe at checkout, never on our pages. Your card details stay with Stripe and never reach us. When a checkout completes, Stripe sends us back three things, from which we create your account, together with the time you agreed to our terms and whether you ticked the optional SMS box:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • your mobile number

There is no password on your account. To sign in, you ask for a one-time sign-in link, and we send it by SMS or email to the number or address on your account.

We use these details to run your account and subscription: to know whose calendar it is, to send the sign-in links you ask for, to help you when you contact support, and to tell you about your subscription, such as a failed payment or a change to your plan. If you ticked the SMS box, we also text you informational news about TeamCalendar, as our SMS consent policy describes. Your mobile number is never shared with or sold to anyone for marketing.

Google Ads

We use Google Ads to measure which of our ads bring people to TeamCalendar and to show relevant ads, including ads for TeamCalendar on other websites. Google's advertising cookies record your visits for this. Under the CCPA, that can count as “sharing” your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

You can opt out in two ways, and we will honour either: turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings, or email support@teamcalendar.com and ask us not to share your information for advertising. You can also block or delete Google's advertising cookies in your browser, as our cookie policy explains.

Sharing with an advertiser — only when you choose an offer and say yes

TeamCalendar shows ads and offers from advertisers that link to sports-related websites. Clicking one takes you to that advertiser's site, which has its own privacy and cookie policies; the link may tell the advertiser that the visit came from TeamCalendar. If you click an offer and agree to share, we may send your email address — and your name, if we hold it — to that advertiser only, so it can pre-fill its sign-up and you can get started faster.

Nothing is shared without that yes, and a yes to one offer is not a yes to any other. We never share your mobile number or your SMS opt-in with advertisers, and we never sell your information for money. If you ignore an offer, or click it without agreeing to share, we share nothing. See “Sharing with partners when you choose to” in our privacy policy.

How to stop sharing

You can withdraw your yes at any time. Email support@teamcalendar.com from the email address you shared and say you want to stop sharing. That lets us confirm the request is yours. We will stop sharing from then on and tell the advertisers we shared with. Withdrawing does not change your plan, your price or your calendar.

Your rights (California residents and everyone else)

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives California residents the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information, to know what personal information a business holds about them, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. We offer the same to every customer, wherever they live.

To see, correct or delete what we hold, email support@teamcalendar.com the same way. You can also ask us to close your account. If you cancel or close your account, your calendar goes back to Free and keeps working at the same address, and you can still ask us to delete your name, email and mobile number. We may need to keep payment records that the law requires us to keep. Making any of these requests will not change how we treat you or your calendar.
